This book ends on another cliffhanger I enjoyed having more of the MMC's POV in this book since there was very little in the last one. I still don't understand why he believes he is at fault for all the danger that is going on when it seems he did nothing to cause it. Even if Emily blames him for not rescuing her from his brother, how is he supposed to know she needed rescuing if she doesn't tell him anything about the situation she finds herself in? Understandably, Beau wants Jane out of danger, but Mateo demands that Beau send her away or he claims Beau would be to blame if anything happened to her is way over the top.
