"There was a boy once. A boy who wasn't strong enough to save me when I was taken.
There was an owner once. An owner who bought me, entrapped me, and made me his unwilling goddess."
Eleanor Grace is a naïve dreamer. Trusting and young, she believes her book-loving boyfriend can save her when her freedom is snatched and sold. Squirrelled away to an island at midnight, delivered to a man even darkness won't touch, she's bound by a contract.
Sullivan Sinclair is the giver of fantasies. Any wish, any desire—he is the master at quenching even the filthiest appetites. His private paradise and perfectly trained goddesses are there for one purpose: to ensure every guest is extremely well satisfied.
He bought her.
He trapped her.
She belongs to him.

I really enjoyed this book. The story was so gripping I didn't want to put it down and that cliffhanger at the end had me reaching for the 2nd book immediately. Though somewhat vague on what actually happened, I gleaned enough hints even with all the red herrings thrown out that I hope I am right in deducing what really happened in Euphoria. I lost a lot of sleep that night, reading as much as the 2nd book as I could. Eleanor was a refreshing heroine. She remained brave and focused on the goal of escape if and when it became plausible. I hated Sully through most of this book, even though you could see Eleanor hating him with every fiber of her being but also hating when she felt that hate interspersed with something more. I see hopes of a better character beneath the veneer he presents, hopefully, that is the case and doesn't take too much angst and anxiety to get there (fingers crossed). The character development and storytelling in this book are fantastic. You can feel the sexual tension between the fmc & mmc like a huge storm building, waiting to unleash its power on anything unfortunate enough to be in its path. The reality of human trafficking is heart-wrenching in that is a reality in our world and not something solely derived from fiction. I pray the world takes a greater role in trying to eliminate this atrocity to the best of its ability. I am glad I am starting this series after it's complete. I would be quite upset and aggrieved to wait to finish reading how Eleanor/Jinx & Sully's story unfolds. If this book is an indicator of how the other books end, I would be beside myself trying to figure out what happens next.
