Devil Mine
Our eyes meet across a sea of people in a crowded club and the effect of his gaze is immediate. Broad shoulders, piercing eyes, an intense aura emanating from him, he’s nothing like any man I’ve ever seen and he makes me feel things I never have before.
When I attend an event a week later and see him there, I’m determined to find out who he is.
I get more than I bargained for when I witness him execute a man.
Turns out the handsome stranger from the club is the head of the most powerful drug cartel in England. And once he sees me, he’s as determined to have me as I am to evade him.
I refuse to be sold, to be given away as payment for my father’s gambling debts, to suffer the same fate as my mother.
So I run away.
But Thiago ‘El Diablo’ da Silva has decided he wants me and what the devil wants, he gets.
And he won’t stop until he’s found me and made me his.
This is a mature, dark cartel romance with a sometimes very irredeemable jealous/possessive hero with extreme proclivities towards violence. It contains situations that some readers might find offensive.

4.5 ⭐ Wow, this book was better than I thought it was going to be. It kept me enthralled from the beginning to the end. I loved how, for a good portion of the book, Tess runs away from marrying Thiago, yet also still has some interactions with him while he tries to track her down. The chase across Europe was fun & exciting. The tension built up from this was intense. I was waiting for when she was getting kidnapped, you knew a little after the first half, it was bound to happen (didn't know for sure you was going to do it though). Some of the unnecessary violence Thiago performed made me like him slightly less, but yeah, I still ended up loving him. Tess: Strong, stubborn, daring & smart (except for the wrong conclusions she draws) Thiago: Obsessed, unhinged, protective, loving, ruthless After a little time, he fell so madly in love with her (he loved her so much that he was even willing to let her go or give up his empire). His anguish over her injury (possible death) was on full display, it made me cry “You don’t have to deal with these things alone anymore. You have me now.” “Do you even know it? Are you even conscious of the dark urges you have, of the fantasies that you suffocate inside you because you think good girls like you shouldn’t have them?” His voice is liquid lust, intoxicating and persuasive as he rasps low, “I want them all. They belong to me. Give them to me and I’ll do every single one of them to you. Tell me all the dark, deviant fantasies you dream of and I’ll teach you how to be a good girl and a whore for me, just like you want.” “What do you choose?” he asks, voice roughened by lust. Hard breaths fan across my lips. “I should warn you that if you decide to leave me it doesn’t mean I won’t follow. I’m giving you a choice when I don’t have one, because I can’t live without you.”
