Sebastian

"Hey Red, you wear that dress for me?"

They see me as the joker. The charmer. The playboy. But it is just a mask I wear to hide the demons that dance in the dark.

My life is too dangerous for me to fall in love. Until Willow Stanton landed in my lap. Literally.

I knew the moment I met her that she was the forever type of girl, so I immediately drew a line and placed her on the other side of it. I told myself she was too good for me, that she deserved more.

But when it comes to her, I'm weak and all it took was one night to seal our fate. I tempted the flame and now, we're both at risk of going up in flames.

Willow

"Yeah baby, who else would I wear it for?"

We were only supposed to be friends, but I should have known that Sebastian and I could never remain as such.

We pretended, played the game, but ultimately, we lost. The temptation was too hard to ignore.

I knew what I was getting myself into, and I understood the danger being with a man like Sebastian Levine could bring. But one positive pregnancy test later changes everything.

Now, there's a battle to fight, and our own demons to face. We're fighting for a future, but first, we have to handle the past.

Tempt the Flame is a dark, friends-to-lovers romance which includes the surprise pregnancy trope. It is book two in the Burn for Me series but can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Sebastian & Willow are friends, Sebastian can't envision anything more because of who and what he does. Willow likes him and wants more, but when it looks like Bast is not willing to give more, she tries to move on, which only makes Bast beyond jealous, even though he knows he has no right to be. Sebastian was caring and very protective of Willow. Willow had a bad childhood and is afraid of being like her mother. Bast is there for her throughout the book when she needs him. They are a cute couple. A fierce sort of protectiveness comes over me. I’ve always been protective, possessive even, over Willow but this is new. This is different. This is raw, and primal, there’s no logic or rational thought behind it. It’s a pure need to keep this woman safe, sheltered, cared for, to keep the baby growing inside of her from harm. I would burn this entire city to the ground, maim and kill and slaughter to ensure their safety. “You’re mine, Willow,” I rasp, “This is ours.” She sucks in a wobbly breath. “I won’t let you down,” I tell her. “I promise you.” “Bast…” she breathes. “I’ll look after both of you,” I vow, “Always.” You’ve given me hope, a future. You’ve shown me what love looks like and I hope to be able to show you the same for the rest of our lives. There is nothing and no one more important than you. You are my best friend, the mother to our daughter, the love of my life and for as long as my heart beats, it belongs to you. You are my whole universe, Willow, there is no light brighter in my life than you. I promise you forever and beyond, Red.”
