"„Teljesen addiktív!!!” – Bookeverlasting Blog

Hiszen eddig boldogan voltam a szörnyeteg, akitől mindenki félt.

Majd megjelent Ő…

Cora Reilly USA Today bestsellerszerző most újra elmeséli Aria és Luca első találkozását. De most a férfi szemszögéből élvezhetjük a tüzes és veszélyes pillanatokat.

I loved reading Luca's POV Bound by Honor was not as good as it could have been due to the lack of it. It amazed me how oblivious he is to how scared Aria is of him; she has no experience, yet he is surprised she is beyond nervous about having sex with him. He sees and acknowledges how she acts scared of him at other times, and while he doesn't like it, he seems to understand why. How it doesn't initially occur to him to spend time with her and let her get to know him is mind boggling. Aria's flinching from him reminds him of his parents' relationship, where his mother was constantly abused and beaten. He refuses to be like his father in that respect and despises his father for the way he treated his mother, him, and his brother growing up. Lucas's cheating still annoyed me, and I didn't really get why he went to see Grace again after feeling so guilty the first time, but we could see his regret over it more in this book, and that he truly cares for Aria and doesn't want to hurt her. He tries very hard to treat her kindly and not be the monster they both believe him to be. He believes she sees him as this monster and will never willingly give herself to him, and he doesn't wish to force her, which is why he figures it is best not try to sleep with her for now and seeks sex with someone else. One insight that became very clear in this book was that many of the things he did were to protect Aria from his father. In the previous book, some of his actions were a bit confounding, but now they made sense. His father was vicious and wouldn't hesitate to kill him if he thought he went against him, nor would he hesitate to hurt or kill Aria. I couldn't understand why he did not punish Grace for what she did, but now I know it was because of his father. Luca had to bide his time till he took care of the problem that was his father, without starting a war between "the family." I was hesitant to read this book since I figured it was just a rehash of Bound by Honor, but I am so glad I did. I enjoyed this one much more than the first.
