As always, this is a cute and sweet story. Megain is recounting how her relationship with Cashol began 8 years earlier. Megan is insecure of her place in the tribe and works her hardest to make herself worth being a part of it. Her fear is that she is not one of them and at any time they could abandon her to leave her on her own, like everyone else in life has done to her. Megan doesn't share how she feels with anyone and puts on a bright and happy facade. Once she resonates to Cashol, she is only slightly relieved and feels it is her obligation to give him what she thinks he wants in a wife. Cashol tries to take Vektel's advice and go slowly with her but she insists she doesn't want to, she wants to get pregnant asap. Cashol overhears her talking to Josie about her not loving him yet, and that she feels she needs to prove her worth by helping out and getting pregnant, to give herself a place with them. Their lack of communication leads to a lot of hurt feelings and not knowing how the other feels. He thinks giving her time and wants to seduce her slowly, which just makes her think he doesn't want her anymore. Cashol loves her from the moment they resonate and likes her a lot even before that. He doesn't tell her he loves her till later, she is surprised, and he is shocked she didn't realize he did. She slowly falls in love with him and realizes he cares deeply for her. Cashol is adorable and always tries to get her to smile and jokes with her and is general a big goof.
