Alice & Kaspar need to use an escape pod, and it crashes onto a privately owned jungle planet. The owner has a gladiator training facility there, and the planet is somewhat hostile in certain locales. Kaspar is an adrenaline junky and loves the challenge of being on such a dangerous planet and practically thrives on it. I really liked Kas a lot in this. Sterre the carinoux they found was a fantastic pet/side character. So funny that she had to catch food for them. "When I say you belong to me," I tell her between thrusts, "it doesn't mean that I own you. It means that I live for every breath you take, every twitch of your eyelash, every smile. It means I'll do whatever it takes to make you laugh. It may sound like I own you, but the opposite is true. You own me, my heart, my head, my spirit. I belong entirely to you."
