Sergei

Home. Bratva is my home, my sanctuary from the past, the only place where a killing machine like me belongs.

Sometimes, my demons come rushing back, and I feel out of control, full of rage, close to losing myself completely.

Until a broken, injured woman stumbles onto my path, awakening my protective instincts and sending my demons to sleep.

Keeping her prisoner is my only option. If she leaves, my darkness will resurface, and there will be no escaping it this time.

Angelina

Escape. That's all I can do, only to end up in the hands of a crazed killer.

Now I'm fighting to stay away from my enemies and trying not to fall for a man I shouldn't want.

But what will happen when we both reveal our hidden truths?

3.5 ⭐ This was my least favorite of the series so far. There seemed to be something missing from the couple's relationship, which is a shame because I loved Sergei's character. I don't know how to describe it, but I didn't get the same feels from the couple as I got in the first two books. I would have liked to have had more POV from Sergei. Sergei's character was done a disservice in this book, it had more potential. I liked Angelina, but her decision towards the end, without telling anyone, was incredibly stupid. She should have at least told Roman or Felix about it. The female narrator, when doing Sergei's voice, was very off-putting. She does a better job in the other two books with the males' voices than she did here; she made him sound very feminine and way too high-pitched.
