There was an excellent primal chase at the beginning, but no more after that. I really enjoyed the first 60% of the book, but it went downhill after that for me. It felt a bit disjointed at times. Elodie had an injured ankle throughout the rest of the book, which became ridiculous due to its prolonged duration. I can see wanting it to last for a few days to show how cute it was that Jaeger carried her around everywhere, but then it should have gotten better. There wasn't a whole lot of plot, and the characters needed development. Jaeger was sweet, and it was disarming when he opened up and told her she was the only birthday gift he ever received. He loves caring for her and helping her with all her problems. Totally melted when he sat down and watched rom com movies with her, then later, when Kaisir joined them and was into them made it so cute & funny. She loves him, but is afraid because of what he does for Fraternitas. I enjoyed both MCs. The direction it turned to the BDSM sex club and the whole collaring & leash, and the edging for 10 days (which I guess was to make her more compliant for the Fraternitas rituals) wasn't doing it for me. The whole ceremony for what the Fraternitas members did when they chose the woman they wanted to be with (forever/marriage) was rather ridiculous; what they made the women do made no sense. The whole professor plot line came from nowhere. She talked about her issues with men always leaving, and it sounded like that is where most of her issues lay, but apparently not. Grumpy bunny, I love it when she snaps at me. She pushes at my shoulder, but it might as well be a swipe of a kitten's paw. I smile at her. I like it when she fights me; it's adorable. "Did you just growl at me? Bunny. I'm an attack rabbit of death.
