Avery, an artist, moved back home 2 years ago, after leaving a crappy ex and the death of her father and she just feels stuck. Levi, hockey player and best friends with Avery's brother, returns to the place that he once called home after running away from his life in Minnesota. Mateo, Avery's best friend and local firefighter, has been there for her at every turn since she returned and secretly wants to be more than friends. Avery, Levi, and Mateo are all pulled towards one another but feel like they could never happen. Avery's brothers have made it clear that she is off limits. However, they decide to take a chance and start a secret relationship. I absolutely loved this story. I loved the dynamic and chemistry between Avery, Levi, and Mateo, not only together but as each pairing. They had a great balance of personality and seemed to just get each other. I felt that story had such realistic conflicts and resolutions, which just made the story that much better to me. Finally, the heat in this story was great. All the clear communication and consent along with the exploration they shared, I loved it all. Received an ARC and give my honest review
