A solid and engaging prequel! This is a quick but satisfying novella. It gives just enough worldbuilding and character insight to pull you in. One of my favorite touches was the use of different narrators for each POV! It really brought the characters to life and made the shifts in perspective feel fresh and distinct. For a short read, it manages to deliver intrigue, tension, and a taste of the relationships to come. A great starting point if you’re curious about the Her Vicious Beasts series.
