A cute fast paced read that kept me interested, but didn't fully come together for me. The plot was pretty fun, especially after starting out as a blind date turned fake marriage with a werewolf spy. I enjoy reading about mature MCs and Zera and Maverick didn't disappoint. Zera is juggling life as a single mom when her whole life gets turned upside down on a blind date. Maverick is a lone wolf ex-alpha who is an accomplished spy until he gets caught on their fake date. The chemistry between Zera and Maverick and it felt natural. A major part of the story centers on Zera being a mom but it felt like it was missing some depth. The worldbuilding and magic systems were a bit simplistic and felt like they were inspired by popular media. Zera's homeland being named Pixie Hollow didn't help with that either. I love tropes like fake marriage or enemies to lovers and while they were fun here they both seemed to fall a bit short. Overall, a solid palate cleanser if you're in the mood for something light and tropey. Thank you to The Nerd Fam and the author for the eARC!
