I'm so glad I chose this as my first read for 2026. I was fully immersed in Camelot life like, emotionally moved in and immediately became jealous I don’t actually live in this castle. The setting felt so alive I half expected to hear armor clanking in the background while reading. The characters were beautifully fleshed out and so endearing they quickly became my found family (yes, I would die for them). The story kept me hooked the entire time, full of intrigue and twists I genuinely couldn’t predict which is rare and deeply satisfying. Also this book has single-handedly convinced me to rewatch BBC Merlin immediately. If that tells you anything about the vibes, consider this your sign.
