“And when the abyss looks into you—and it will—may you look back unflinching.” I really liked this. At first, it was a little hard to understand as our main character teeters through his hallucinations and into moments of clarity, but the blending of both worlds was so well-done. By the end, I was crying. And so relieved to see him climb up from the Deep. This book speaks volumes on the ways mental illness affects our minds, our experiences, and our actions. I think it is so important to share these stories in order to remind people that in spite of it all, we are never alone. Really good book.
