When Hazel's parents die, she is left in the hands of her new guardian, Devan. He sends her to a boarding school and leaves her until her 19 birthday, where he ends up saving her from herself. This continues for 6 years on her birthday he shows up and saves her and leaves. But now, on her 25th birthday, she will gain control of her trust, so she makes a plan to fulfill her deepest desires for the man that's been chosen to be her guardian all these years. This was a super spicy novella, and I really enjoyed it. Devan seemed to really see Hazel for who she really was and not for who she portrayed herself to be.
