I listened to this as an audiobook and it was absolutely incredible. Butler excels at creating compelling characters, gut-wrenching circumstances, and really cool elements of time travel. She does not shy away from the hardships, horrors, and brutality of slavery. And what an ending! I firmly believe this is a book that should be taught in schools.
