3.5 stars. Solid writing, solid world building and interesting characters. This book had all the markings of a five star read for me but for some reason, I wasn't hooked? It wasn't until the last few chapters were it heated up and I wanted more. However I know the series focuses on different couples so I'm sad to say goodbye to Naime and Makram because I was starting to fully appreciate it.
