I didn't realise I had already read books by Jodi Taylor and loved them... And I also loved this. Cage's abilities were fun to learn about. The storyline was twisty and when you think you're coming to an end and see you still have 30% of the book to go you obviously want to keep reading. Cage has a sad start at the beginning of the book, and has her relationship develops with the other character (not named to save spoilers) it was a little bit predictable with a huge side of WHOA I DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING.7 Jodi Taylor has a knack for writing MFC that are both a little unsure but also heroines. I'd easily be friends with Cage and would love to spend afternoons chatting over a coffee with her. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator was great. Lots of emotion to carry the story, and clear dialogue. I was very pleased to see this is a series and I will be looking for the rest.
