4.5⭐️ After reading the first book, I wasn’t sold on the hype of this series, but I genuinely fell in love with each and every character during this one. The characters are just so well rounded and loveable in their own ways, I love them all, especially ibrahim🥹 I absolutely loved the development of Roy and the way he’s shown to love his friends, without ever needing to say it out loud. His relationship with Ibrahim is what made me realise he’s just big softie really.

Joyce and her diary is just genius. Richard, Mr Osmond sir, please could we just have a book of Joyce and her diary?! Elizabeth continues to be smart, irritating, sassy and vulnerable. Ibrahim has a hard time in this book and my heart ached for him. And I can't wait to see what happens with Bogdan and Donna. I listened to the audiobook and Lesley Manville is perfect....
