I have many things I would like to say about this book right here... Firstly, the number of times I have cried throughout this series (and it's not even the last book) is unhealthy, but this book alone broke even that record. Like seriously, I think -I- need new tear ducts, Apollo, move aside. Secondly, okay, I know Riordan portrays Dionysus/Bacchus' character as kind of a jerk, but I feel like this god has lost way too many of his kids in these series'. I did not expect for Dakota's death to hit me as hard as it did, nor was it even that great of a battle scene - just a mentioning afterwards. Third, I LOVE Frank Zhang. Fourth, although it is awesome that Hazel has taken on the new role as Praetor, it feels so weird to me that Reyna has stepped down in favor of new adventures with the Huntresses. Which I guess I should mention, with the Huntresses in mind, Artemis/Diana is a BADASS and I LOVE her. And finally, although Apollo is my godly parent according to Riordan's test and the fact that I absolutely adore him, this book has really allowed me to see him in a new light, recognize that he has definitely had his bad moments, has been a bitch at times, but I am thankful to Uncle Rick for humanizing him again - in the literal and metaphorical sense. I can't wait for whatever comes next, though I'll be ready with a box of tissues in hand.
