This book is super sappy, and even though it had its sweet moments, it was a little bit too cliché. I found Rune to be really unlikeable - his constant anger was exhausting and tedious to read. Poppy, on the other hand, was so relentlessly happy and in love with the world that it was just unrealistic. I rolled my eyes a lot. Now, I did tear up towards the end, but the epilogue kind of bummed me out. After all the effort she put into convincing him to live a full life and giving him his own jar, he didn’t even use it! I know it's meant to be sweet and romantic, but we're really supposed to believe a 17 year old kid never found love again? Idk.. I don't buy it. Hoping the next one is better.
