4.25 ⭐ This is my first Abercrombie book, but I will absolutely be looking at his other books! I combo read this with the audiobook. This was cynical, bloody, and full of amazing characters who are all varying shades of awful and wonderful at the same time. There are a lot of characters to juggle in the beginning but it's worth it The banter is on par and they're wickedly funny! I'll be waiting for book 2 and if you like morally gray characters with demonic and supernatural elements on a journey I'd recommend picking this up! Thanks to Macmillan Audio for the gifted audiobook.
