Wow… I really didn’t know what to think going into this but I was pulled in right away. This is definitely something to pay attention to the trigger warnings. It’s not friendly, it’s the cold hard truth of the way things would be in a cannibalistic society. There was a great mix of characters in here but please… get the short applicant away from me lololol. He was creepy all around. The ending.. was such a shock and tbh I didn’t see it coming. I really thought that Marcos and Cecilia weren’t gonna pull through on this.

Some of the prose and character elements were very striking but I think that due to logistics being such a major element of the story, it suffers from how truly impossible the premise is to a degree that The Unworthy (which I love) did not.
