Broken Play
Jaxon - I’m months away from the NFL draft, from everything I’ve ever wanted. Except none of it matters without her. Madison Blake has always been it for me—my best friend, my biggest what-if, the girl I’ve never stopped loving. One drunken voicemail.

You know what? I had fun. Broken Play is one of those books that I flew through because it was simply an enjoyable time. The romance was sweet, the story kept me engaged, and Jaxon? That man was out here carrying the “if he wanted to, he would” movement on his back. A lot of readers seem to be frustrated with Madison, and honestly… I get it. There were definitely moments where I understood why people wanted to shake some sense into her. But unlike many reviews I have seen, I never reached the point where she truly annoyed me. Her choices could be frustrating, sure, but I could understand where they were coming from and why she struggled the way she did. That said, this was not a book that completely consumed my life or altered my brain chemistry. I enjoyed it, I kept turning the pages, and I was invested in seeing how everything would work out, but it never quite reached that obsession level for me. And that is perfectly okay. Not every book needs to leave me staring at a wall questioning my existence. Sometimes a book just needs to entertain me for a few hours and give me a couple characters to root for. Broken Play did exactly that.
