this one is definitely the best of the series so far; the "forbidden" romance is a lot of fun and Daisy & Ryke really make sense as a couple. but I'm going to keep harping on how bad the writing is, because it's now five or six books into the series and it really should be better at this point, regardless of whether or not the books have had an editor; there's been no growth or maturation in the writing style and it still reads like a 17-year-old's first fic on AO3. that may be fine for some people, but it's gotten really grating to me. don't get me wrong, though, the series is still fun and the characters are likable. I just don't know if I can keep getting past the writing.
