I usually eat up anything Liz Tomforde puts out, but this was just... a little underwhelming for me. I'm not sure I can really even put my finger on why, but I just wasn't as invested in this one as I've been in the rest. (To be fair, I'm also in the worst slump I've had in over a year, so maybe when I inevitably reread the whole series, I'll like it more. Maybe it's just a "wrong book, wrong time" thing...)
