This hit home. Hard. I'm nonbinary and also a NC resident. I know how judgmental the people here can be. I Wish You All the Best is an amazing representation of the reality of being queer in areas like this. I connected with Ben more than I thought I would. I remember being 15 and trying to come out to my parents and being brushed off (even to this day they won't use my chosen name and pronouns), and feeling like absolute garbage. And Nathan, I had my own Nathan too. She and I don't talk anymore, but I'm grateful for when we still did. What I'm trying to get to is, if you're a teenager who isn't too sure about their identity reading this review now, I absolutely recommend picking this up. Even at my grown (24) age, this book helped allow myself to be more secure in my presentation to this world.
