It was fine, I enjoyed it but it was just not hitting the right spot for me. It is supposedly a dark Cinderella retelling, but that was very confusing considering the only part that related to Cinderella was the evil brothers I guess?? I thought there were more similarities with the fairytale of Snow White. It was very easy to read and the book had some drawings in there too which I loved. The story was fast paced and sometimes even felt a little rushed. I felt like I missed a lot of background information or context to the story. I enjoyed the story enough to rate it 2,5 out of 5.
