Immediate thoughts after finishing OMG I LOVE IT and I need more! I immediately added this to my favorites list and went in search of more from Caty Rogan. This weaves together divine power, brutal injustice, and a slow burn passion that brings ALL the emotions. Leina is freaking amazing! I loved her from the very first chapter and by the third I was hooked. Seriously, such a strong start to the story! Her growth, her struggles and her rage are raw and real. Ryot is going to be the new hot book boyfriend in a few months, I'm sure. The worldbuilding is everything I wanted and more. You have winged warhorses, death demons, warring gods that spills over into the mortal realm, royal secrets, and a 'military' academy that trains the Altors. The pacing was excellent, the prose is immersive, and every plot twists hits exactly where it should. If you love fantasy with a bit of romance, epic worldbuilding, and well written feminine rage this is a must read. This could very well be the best book of 2025 for me, it's THAT GOOD! Thank you to The Nerd Fam for the gifted eARC!! #kissedbythegods #thenerdfam
