This book is the first book in a long time to leave me completely speechless. I knew it was a Romeo and Juliette retelling, but I didn’t expect it to pain me this much. I wasn’t a huge fan of the original story, so I didn’t expect to like this at all. BOY WAS I WRONG. Dima and Marya deserved the world. They deserved so much better than they were given. I saw a bit of myself in Marya, which made me love her even more. I’m extremely happy that Lev and Sasha got to have what Dima and Marya weren’t lucky enough to have. Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely sad about them, but I’m happy for Lev and Sasha. This book will be one that sticks with me for a while. Overall, I give it 5/5 stars, a possible temporary spot on the Hall of Fame shelf, and I definitely recommend it.
