Okay I actually really enjoyed this! I’m upset that it took me this long to finish it, but I really loved it! I really didn’t think that I would enjoy it. Like, at all. I heard so much hype about it and I was like “okay well this is really popular so I’m not gonna like it.” BOY WAS I WRONG! I’m definitely really excited for Legendary, and I may start it next. I love Julian, and I also really love Scarlett. I like Tella too, but I don’t know very much about her, and I really hope I get a book from her point of view. I really like the whole circus aspect, and even though I’ve never read a book like it before, I can’t wait to continue the series. I couldn’t tell what was real and what was just part of the game, which made me enjoy it even more. I didn’t cry when Julian “died”, or when Tella “died”, but I was curious as to what would happen next. I definitely didn’t expect Julian to be Legend’s brother. I actually thought he was Legend, and even though he said that he was Legend’s brother, I’m still not fully convinced that he isn’t Legend himself. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. The only reason it isn’t 5 stars is because of how long it took me to finish it. When I read books for longer than three days I get really bored, and this took over two months. So overall, I give this book 4.75/5 stars, and I definitely recommend it.

I thought I saw all of the twists coming until the end of the book when everything I thought I knew was a lie and I still have so many questions even now. I absolutely loved scarlet tho and her seeing her emotions in colors was truly such a beautiful touch.
