More and more of the past is revealed, and man, it is some evil, vile stuff. The intensity is really ratcheting up in this book. I'm looking forward to watching the town burn and anyone who played a part in the transgressions of the past right along with it. What happened to Lana and her family in the past was really dark and messed up. All involved deserve what they get and more. Leonard seems to have figured things out pretty well and seems sympathetic, and tries to encourage Logan to see things in a different light. Logan's actions at the end were not cool. How could he do this to our girl Lana? He made incorrect assumptions and wouldn't let her explain. My heart aches all over again for Lana. Off to read the last book now, I need to find out what happens next. *“In short, one of the deputies attacked you, and you were saved by a ruthless serial killer who gets off on being stabby,” Elise quips. A serial killer had to save me from a sheriff’s deputy. The world is officially upside down.* Leonard: “I’m saying, bad shit is in the world. But some of the monsters have morals, where others are pure evil. As of this morning, they no longer fear the sheriff who has always protected his son. Now they fear the one person who can break the untouchable. They belong to me now. The flock have a new shepherd to fear. Baa, bitches. I thought love would rip my heart out. I thought it would set me on fire. Instead, it turned me into ice.

Still enjoying this series. Logan is a dipshit and I currently do not like him. He did shit that would be so traumatic and triggering for Lana and then ends it all with her????? Dude that shit hurts. I am so so so curious how this story will end in the last book. On the other hand, Lana might be going insane... Let's see what will happen.
