4.5⭐ This was such an amazing series; I flew through it. After finishing one book, I immediately reached for the next. However, I found this series to be more of a thriller, with the romance playing the supporting role. For a profiler, Logan was rather an idiot at not putting things together in the right way when it came to Lana. He didn't even wait to listen to her or Hadley before jumping to the wrong conclusions. Lana was devastated by Logan's actions and left, and once he learned the truth, she was nowhere to be found, so he had to make a grand gesture to win her back. I do wish a few people suffered a bit more; some got out a bit too easily. I love how Jake loves her so much and helps her every step of the way. Also, how he plans for every contingency. Lana was such a fantastic FMC. Her eyes narrow, and her lips tremble. “Someone like that? Someone who would kill or die to keep you safe? Someone who loved you so much that she almost gave up her revenge?” I walked out when she simply cried. The cold-hearted killer who tortured and slaughtered the monsters from her past… I made her cry. She never even got angry. “He doesn’t love me like I love him,” I say hoarsely. “I love him enough to burn the world to the ground in his name.” “You were everything to her,” Hadley says quietly. “I’ve never been loved like that. She saved your life, Logan. This town tried to kill you, and she saved you. Personally, I think it’s over-the-top to stab a guy for the man you love, but still perfectly effective.” I didn’t realize until she was gone that nothing else mattered at all. Nothing I stood for was worth more than her. Nothing I valued held any true value at all. Everything I have is pointless without her. I could have saved her, but I walked away instead. She’s dead because of me.

Perfect ending of this series. I really needed this easy to read story to dive into. This book was wild and there was so much action going on! There were so many thing going on and I thought of so much possible ways the story would go, but it went a different way EVERY DAMN TIME (which I LOVE in a book). The ending made me so happy and I did for sure cry a little.

What do I do now? Am I really expected to live a normal life after this?

I wasn’t expecting to be as obsessed with this as I was. I truly loved every single thing about it and I’m sad that I don’t have anymore. I don’t even know what to say about that book other than it was dark it the best way possible while still finding moments of humor and levity. I will be checking out this authors other books under other pen names to see if I love them as much.

This was the perfect ending to the series for me. It had me audibly reacting at a few points. I’ve loved the whole series.

Loved this book! This series was super good. Loved that Lana got to finish her plans and have her love too!
