For a book where not much happens, I really ate this up. Hopefully the lack of action is just down to the fact that this book was only meant to introduce the world and characters, so that we can get a bit more plot in the next book. Asher and Ky are perfect, I wouldn’t mind if they just left Jory in a ditch somewhere and the story carried on without her😂 I read the majority of this and loved it, but then I decided to audio a little and got quite bored, so I do recommend reading over listening for this one

Was this book custom made for my brain because I loved every single second of it so much. I felt like I was nearing a reading slump and the second I started this book it absolutely consumed me. This was definitely a more character and romance based romantasy but the plot was still intriguing. I loved all of the main characters so much, I would truly die for them. I can’t wait for the next book because I don’t want to leave this world at all. That being said the end wasn’t a huge cliffhanger at all. I will be going back a reading the rest of Brigids books that I haven’t read yet, this has definitely reminded me what I love about her writing style. Also can I just say the SPICE!? It had no business at all being that good.

3.75-4 stars This book was such an easy read and really enjoyable. There are several things that fall flat and after a strong start, I do feel like it dwindled a bit. I didn't feel the chemistry between Asher/Jory as much as I did the other pairings. I felt it was more platonic and almost... a love built from having no one else? (Until Ky) If that makes sense. However, as a trio, I buy it.
