2.5 stars rounded up for GR At first, I was fully engaged in the story. I was interested enough to want to turn the page... that was until they got to Europe. After that, a 300+ page book felt like a slog. I considered DNF at 50% but there were small moments where I felt that same engagement at the beginning of the story so I thought I'd persevere. While I am glad I finished it because I found the ending somewhat interesting, I can't say I loved this book. It was a chore with moments of magic. Another thing I did not like was how Louis described his feelings for Claudia. I understand living so many years, she matured mentally but I could not get over the fact she was in a 5 year olds body. There were definitely choices made there and not something I've seen many people mention.
