This is my least favourite of the series so far. I love Chestnut springs and this series I just didn’t feel as connected to these character as much as I did with the rest of this series. I think it’s just personal preference and the fact these tropes were ones I wasn’t really vibing with. Well I do like friends to lovers I don’t really like when one person has been pining forever and the other hasn’t. Midway through the book they say that the mmc has been feeling the same way but that just doesn’t feel like the case to me. I don’t know I just didn’t feel like Jasper loved her as much as I wanted him too, but maybe that’s just me because I wasn’t connecting. I am also not a fan of the term of endearment “honey”. Everyone always talks about hating baby and being taken out of the book when the characters say it too much. Personally I love baby but honey is not for me and the more they used it the more I got the ick from it especially when she already had a cute nickname that Jasper has called her ever since they were kids. It was still a cute story and I got more invested by the end. Harvey truly stole the show tho will all of this jokes. I really love the way this series always works the title into the book. It’s such a fun moment everytime it happens. 🌶️ 2/5 I really just didn’t connect enough to love it.
