Trade
When my husband replaces me with a younger model, I’m entered into the lottery and traded to an Outsider for fuel.
I expect a wasteland, but when the bunker doors open, I see green trees, blue skies, and him—a man half my age with a stone-cold face and a machete strapped to his thigh.
I’ll be lucky to escape him alive. That’s what we’ve been told all our lives.
And the people in charge wouldn’t lie to our faces us about everything.
Would they?

3.5 but it’s a novella so I’ll be a little generous. I honestly liked this one, I was feeling a little nervous at the beginning when Glory first went outside. But everything was explained so even though it was rough for a bit there it did make up for it mostly. The men in this were absolute trash garbage and the rage that this one made me feel with how they deal with the women. This was fun tho and I would try more by this author
