Wow. I actually really enjoyed this. Not as much as I thought I would, but I did enjoy it! I loved Ava’s photography career, and I was more interested in that at some points than the actual romance. Alex pissed me off several times, though.. he did sort of make up for what he did at the very end. I haven’t completely forgiven him, but.. he sort of redeemed himself. He had moments where I loved him, but after the betrayal, I didn’t love him anymore. Ava is my baby. I’M SO EXCITED FOR JOSH’S BOOK ☺️. I loved him in this, and to say I’m excited is an understatement. Overall, I give this book 4.75/5 stars, but I don’t think I’ll read it again.

This started off so good, but somewhere around the 2/3 of the way through, it went downhill fast for me. The end dragged and was boring & slow going. (The epilogue was pretty good, though.) I enjoyed the couple's beginning phase of the relationship (the sexual tension was palpable at the beginning), but after Alex found out who the man responsible for his tragic past is, their relationship took a turn for the worse & I did not enjoy it after that point. A major problem was that a lot of their relationship development was lacking because we were told a considerable amount instead of being shown. The female narrator did a stellar job, very rarely have I heard one do such an excellent job with voicing MMC's part. She made it sound like him & super sexy.

This started out pretty good, then had some WTF moments… I did the audio book, I didnt really like the male dialog spoken by the female narrator - but that seems to be a common theme for me. Not all audio books are created equal lol. It was a decent start to a series, ive heard book 2 is better so looking forward to that. I’d let Alex stalk me with all my favorite things… and damnnnn he fucked up Madlyn lol 🌶️ 3/5 The spice was a bit of a slow burn, and it was ok… The grumpy-sunshine trop played out well together. I really like the tension of the photo shoot, where she caught his expressions, being a photographer I could visualize the heat of this moment well - and it was hot.</spoiler
