Twisted Lies

Ana Huang

4.72

"Charming, deadly, and smart enough to hide it, Christian Harper is a monster dressed in the perfectly tailored suits of a gentleman. He has little use for morals and even less use for love, but he can't deny the strange pull he feels toward the woman living just one floor below him. She's the object of his darkest desires, the only puzzle he can't solve.

And when the opportunity to get closer to her arises, he breaks his own rules to offer her a deal she can't refuse. Every monster has their weakness. She's his.

Sweet, shy, and introverted despite her social media fame, Stella Alonso is a romantic who keeps her heart in a cage. Between her two jobs, she has little time or desire for a relationship. But when a threat from her past drives her into the arms-and house-of the most dangerous man she's ever met, she's tempted to let herself feel something for the first time in a long time.

Theirs is a love twisted with secrets and tainted by lies...and when the truths are finally revealed, they could shatter everything." -- adapted from back jacket

The series concludes… In the earlier books we learn very little about Stella, shes just mentioned as a friend and blog/influencer. Shes definitely written different from the other MFCs in previous books - actually all the girls seem to have really different personalities for the most part, but the MMCs seem to all have very similar characteristics. Look, I enjoy a super alpha aggressive/possessive MMC just as much as the next book girly, but I feel like with series like this where each book covers a different couple, theres SO much room for the writer to show me they know how to be diverse and bring out some strong differences in personalities and sexual desires with ALL characters… But the MCs seem to just be copies with slight variations of the last. The books werent bad, and i enjoyed them, just wanted to point that out. 🌶️ 3/5 Theres SO many different ways to write spice, different kinks and things to explore. I wanted to see some of that come out with each of these couples, but it was along the lines of sameness throughout. The spice wasnt bad, I enjoyed it, but had higher expectations for some variety. Most of the variety came in the form of slow burns…
