Saved from the brink of death by a mysterious stranger, Constanta is transformed from a medieval peasant into a bride fit for an undying king. But when Dracula draws a cunning aristocrat and a starving artist into his web of passion and deceit, Constanta realizes that her beloved is capable of terrible things.

Finding comfort in the arms of her rival consorts, she begins to unravel their husband's dark secrets. With the lives of everyone she loves on the line, Constanta will have to choose between her own freedom and her love for her husband. But bonds forged by blood can only be broken by death.

Ugh this book was delicious. The writing was seductive and dark. Everything I think of when I think of vampires.

I did enjoy this book but I just wasn’t able to feel connected to the characters at all. I thought it was an interesting story and was told in an interesting way, but because of how it was told I wasn’t able to feel invested, it just didn’t suck me in like an education in malice did.

This was a little show for me. I like the way its told, like the MC was recalling the past, letter or journal style. I didnt really feel connected to the characters or their relationships. The narrator was good for the audio. 🌶️ 2/5 I think this tried to be spicier than it actually was in what few scenes there were. Or maybe it tried to give that sense of passion but it didnt seem that exciting imo.
