I was a little bit lost at the start with all these different timelines and POV’s going on but once I got past the first couple chapters I could not put it down. So much was happening in this book it was go, go, go. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. It wrapped things up nicely at the end without a cliffhanger but still left me wanting more at the same time, there are still so many more places we can go with these characters. It still feels unfinished. I was still waiting at 90% for Victor and Eli to kiss already 👀👀 they are so gay for each other I’m not sure how they can’t see it.

4/5 ⭐ 1/5 🌶️ 📖 My Thoughts What a wild ride and crazy ending to this duology! It amazes me how much lore has been put into this pair of books but you still feel like you could learn more and never have enough. The entire book is holding-onto-the-edge-of-your-seat action plus jumping back and forth in time that you barely have time to register most of it especially with all of the different POV’s. The crazy amount of POV’s and time swapping was the only thing that bothered me with the second book. At times, it felt hard to keep up with but overall I enjoyed the series immensely. ⚠️ Triggers - Alcohol consumption & drug abuse - Animal death - Graphic scenes with blood - Cheating - Domestic abuse - Gun violence - Rape (attempted) - Self-harm 🌶️ Spice The spice in this book to me was vague. You know that shit is going down but it isn’t super detailed when the scenes occur. I’d say all and all there were 3 scenes that were vague in writing.

This had a lot going on, the pacing was really well done too. There were quite a few characters aside from the original ones in book one, but I really loved what they brought to the story. The flip flops through time were a lot further apart than book 1 and I found myself flipping back to double check where I was in time from time to time, but I don't think that complicated the story it just made sense as it all started to unfold in the end. I loved how badass Marcella was, I was not expecting to like her tbh. The super powers were so unique for all the villains or were they heroes? Most of these characters were more bad than good, but I really liked that about them. I had trouble theorizing or guessing where the story was going to go, which is always fun when I'm kept on my toes. The end of this kind of fell flat for me. I think I was still waiting around for these two MMCs to make up after all this time, but I mean questions were answered, it technically was an end. 🌶️ .25/5 There is a very short vague spicy scene, and some adult sultry language I suppose.
