I do not know how I feel about this. I loved this book just like I did the first two but the ending left me feeling disappointed. It was sad but not heartbreaking enough to be worth it. Overall I still adore this world and it’s characters and it still feels unfinished. Idk if the unanswered questions we are left with at the end of this is what the novella is going to be about but I cannot wait to find out. I miss all of my lovely children already.

4/5 ⭐ 1/5 🌶️ 💖 Tropes - Found family - Slow burn - Forced proximity - Enemies to Lovers 📖 My Thoughts What a pleasant ending to this series even though I feel like there is still more story to be told. For instance, I want more backstory on Chaos and what happened to Rima?? Maybe a different series altogether for them? Other than feeling like I didn’t get the all the answers to my questions, everything came together nicely. I’m sure the abrasiveness of Fate and Blythe’s relationship isn’t for everyone, but I thoroughly enjoyed how mean and dramatic they were to one another. It made the buildup bitter but the ending that much sweeter. As always with this series, there are some twists and turns that I enjoyed throwing my theories out there for. Sometimes I was right, sometimes wrong, and even caught off guard by one twist in this book. So sad to see it go but look forward to reading more by Adalyn! ⚠️ Triggers Graphic: Death, Terminal illness, and Grief Moderate: Violence, bullying, potential toxic relationship Minor: Sexual content, blood, and murder 🌶️ Spice Once again, the spice in this book was pretty vague. We get two scenes where Fate and Blythe are intimate and while vague, it was really sensual. I love the way Adalyn writes her spicy scenes, they always feel so personal and sensual.

I would maybe say this is 3.5, rounded up to 4 - generously. I'm not sure how I feel about this one, I think the first 2 were better, I really loved Signa and Death, but this was not bad. I like the concept of magic in this series, and despite being YA, it was romancy enough to keep me interested. I feel like this was a little clunky at times trying to tie things together that maybe shouldn't have been, but in the end it worked, I guess. 🌶️ 0.5/5 Idk the other 2 before had a lot more tension and chemistry. While I do enjoy a good "hate to love" trope this one kind of fell flat, childish even, despite the MMC being literally Fate - you would think he would have a little maturity about him, but nah, he's a bit of a bitch.
