A GOOD HOUSEKEEPING AND SHE READS BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR
In the small mountain town of Jasper, North Carolina, June Farrow is waiting for fate to find her. The Farrow women are known for their thriving flower farm—and the mysterious curse that has plagued their family line. The whole town remembers the madness that led to Susanna Farrow’s disappearance, leaving June to be raised by her grandmother and haunted by rumors.
It’s been a year since June started seeing and hearing things that weren’t there. Faint wind chimes, a voice calling her name, and a mysterious door appearing out of nowhere—the signs of what June always knew was coming. But June is determined to end the curse once and for all, even if she must sacrifice finding love and having a family of her own.
After her grandmother’s death, June discovers a series of cryptic clues regarding her mother’s decades-old disappearance, except they only lead to more questions. But could the door she once assumed was a hallucination be the answer she’s been searching for? The next time it appears, June realizes she can touch it and walk past the threshold. And when she does, she embarks on a journey that will not only change both the past and the future, but also uncover the lingering mysteries of her small town and entangle her heart in an epic star-crossed love.
With The Unmaking of June Farrow, Adrienne Young delivers a brilliant novel of romance, mystery, and a touch of the impossible—a story you will never forget.

What a truly beautiful story, I was constantly in awe of the authors ability to create something so unique and emotional. Regardless of the fact it was so complex, there were no loose ends, everything was explained in such a detailed way. All I can really say is that if you’re reading this review, go and read the book immediately.

I- This book was breathtakingly beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. As I do most of the time I went into this book completely blind and it blew me away. Time travel books and movies will never fail to break my heart. I was worried if there was even going to be a happy ending here there was so much heartbreak. The end is everything I could have asked for. It was beautiful written and had me falling in love with every single character, I wish we would have got to see a little more of June and Eamon falling in love but I still loved every second of it and I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.

4/5 ⭐ 1/5 🌶️ 📖 My Thoughts This was a beautifully woven story. Even though some tragic things happen, the writing is very fluffy and feel-good that I almost wanted a little more edge or depth. Personally, I found it hard to follow at times which is why I have to give it only four stars. The fluffy writing may also attribute to the fact that it was hard to follow. Regardless, I really enjoyed this story and time travel is always so mind-consumingly fun. ⚠️ Triggers Graphic: Death, Grief, Death of parent, and Abandonment Moderate: Bullying, Mental illness, Suicide, Murder, and Injury/Injury detail Minor: Sexism, Sexual content, and Pregnancy 🌶️ Spice There was a little bit of spice in one scene but that is not the primary focus of this story.

This was so beautifully written. With a wonderful family vibe and generational curses that come with it. I love a good timey whimey tale that unravels the deeper you get into it. I was rooting for June the entire time as she tries to figure out about her past, present and future to find out where (or when) she fits into this life, or another… The relationship with the MCs was really emotional, how a stranger, that is also a lover, can be forgotten, or remembered. I know that seems confusing, lol, but it really isn’t a confusing story. It flows really well, after the first few chapters I was hooked and needed to know more about this mystery of who is June, what happened to her mother, and what choices will she make, or doors will she open, that will tie everything together with a beautiful little bow that is - the unmaking of June Farrow. 🌶️ 1/5 This isn’t really spicy, but it has a few scenes that the tension build up and execution is very well done. I really loved the back and forth of the future MMC or the past MMC, the way these scenes and characters were written was really refreshing and endearing. Loved it.

I haven't read a single Adrienne Young book I have not enjoyed or devoured in 1-2 days time. June's story kept me on the edge of my seat and was told beautifully
