The Four Horsemen #1

Pestilence

Laura Thalassa

4.34

They came to earth-Pestilence, War, Famine, Death-four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity. They came to earth, and they came to end us all.

When Pestilence comes for Sara Burn's town, one thing is certain: everyone she knows and loves is marked for death. Unless, of course, the angelic-looking horseman is stopped, which is exactly what Sara has in mind when she shoots the unholy beast off his steed. Too bad no one told her Pestilence can't be killed.

Now the horseman, very much alive and very pissed off, has taken her prisoner, and he's eager to make her suffer. Only, the longer she's with him, the more uncertain she is about his true feelings towards her ... and hers towards him. And now, well, Sara might still be able to save the world, but in order to do so, she'll have to sacrifice her heart in the process.

An ex firefighter by the cliche name of Sara “Burns” is dragged all over Canada by a super hot godlike dude named pestilence after she tries to kill him and he decides her punishment is to suffer with him while he gives the whole world the plague… some of this was hard to read, bubbling sores, whole families suffering for days on end before finally succumbing to death. Then it became really predictable, the people are pissed losing their family and friends, she becomes an enemy to them even if she has been forced to not die, and bad things happening they keep saving each other, then getting physically attached to each other in a random house they find along the way… 🌶️ 3/5 I had to take a break from this before finishing. When I came back to it, it was still pretty cringe. Not the most enjoyable from this author, honestly. I may still read the others in this series, but not anytime soon.
