Okay I got distracted in the time I finished this and writing this review 💀. I loved this one. This one genuinely made me feel nauseous but I loved it 🤭. I love Jude and Cardan even more now, even though I kind of want to murder Cardan rn but we’re not gonna talk about it. I gave this one 5/5 stars, and I’m excited to keep going!

She loves to allure her audience with beautiful scenery and tension, drag out the beginning until you hate everything, and then deceive you into obsession. And that's exactly how I felt the entire first book as well as this one. I'm absolutely obsessed with this world and these characters she's created even though I know she's going to do it to me all over again. Also, I want to be Jude when I grow up. The Wicked King does NOT suffer a sophomore slump. This book turns what was already teetering on a 5-star series into just that. This was INCREDIBLE. In one epic game of strategy, Jude has managed to orchestrate every player in this game beautifully, aside from one crucial piece—herself.The stakes are high, the tension delicious, and the twists absolutely delightful. I am LOVING these books.
