Now as the exiled mortal Queen of Faerie, Jude is powerless and left reeling from Cardan's betrayal. She bides her time determined to reclaim everything he took from her. Opportunity arrives in the form of her twin sister, Taryn, whose life is in peril.

Jude must risk venturing back into the treacherous Faerie Court, and confront her lingering feelings for Cardan, if she wishes to save her sister. But Elfhame is not as she left it. War is brewing. As Jude slips deep within enemy lines she becomes ensnared in the conflict's bloody politics.

And, when a dormant yet powerful curse is unleashed, panic spreads throughout the land, forcing her to choose between her ambition and her humanity . . .

Okay so I definitely think this was my favorite of the trilogy! I’m honestly really sad that it’s over, but I truly did love this series. This is one of those series that a bunch of my friends have raved about, but I never read it because I was scared I wouldn’t like it. Well, I was definitely wrong. This has truly been an incredible series, and I’m so grateful to be able to experience it. I’m actually very excited to read Oak’s books. So, overall, I give this book 5/5 stars, and I highly recommend this series!

*☆4 stars☆* The Queen of Nothing is the third book in the Folk of the Air series. A series that gives Alice in Wonderland vibes but is geared towards young adult audiences and focuses on the world of Faerie and its royal court politics. We continue to follow our main character, Jude, a mortal who has a deep-rooted love and hate relationship with Faerie but an equally deep-rooted desire to prove that she's capable of so much more than Faerie and her mortal family alike realize. Considering its young adult attributes, this series was a bit sexier than I expected it to be which wasn't a skip for me personally. All of the intimate scenes were done very tastefully and were not explicit in nature if you're someone who prefers no explicit scenes. In addition to being young adult, this series is modern day, but it doesn't go overboard with its modern-day references. I'm very grateful in that regard because I do feel that if you're trying for a setting that is other-worldly and trying to evoke that feeling to your readers, those references can really pull you out of a story. Although this was the end for these characters and I loved them all, I am very happy with where and how it ended. Holly Black mastered the pacing overall by avoiding information overload and giving me exactly what I needed to keep me invested. Sometimes in books we run into the issue of the climax to a story feeling rushed or forced whether that's due to the ending taking entirely too long or not covering all of the bases, but all of the details and clues were trickled throughout very nicely that the ending didn't feel abrupt. Highly recommend this series to anyone who isn't too grown up for a young adult read, loves both Faerie worlds and royal court intrigue and betrayal, and true enemies to lovers until the very end. While this is not really the ending I had envisioned for the series, I suppose it works. Some plot points felt very rushed, but honestly, this was an unputdownable read. Our beloved characters continued to reach new depths that lead me to appreciate them even more. I am a little disappointed that Jude never became immortal though. That seemed like a thing that could’ve been done somehow. A stellar series overall. I’m sad I’ve reached the end of it.
