Now You're Mine
Being without her isn’t an option for me. Or her. The Protector She’s in danger.
Just the thought of this threatens my sanity. I’ll do anything to keep her safe… Even things that she doesn’t agree with. If she thinks stalking her was bad, Calista’s in for a surprise.
The Prisoner Hayden is certifiable. And I love him. What I don’t like are his methods of protection.
Except the more perilous my life becomes, the closer I get to him... And the secrets he’s keeping from me. Soon, I don't know who poses the greater risk: the villain out to end me or the one in my bed.
Now You're Mine is the final book in the Possessing Her duet. This book contains explicit sexual content and a morally gray hero that's over the top jealous/possessive, a stalker who falls first and harder, has Touch Her & Die energy, and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her. A complete list of the trigger warnings can be found on the author's website.

3.5⭐ I did not like this 2nd book as much as the first, but it was still an enjoyable read, even if a bit anticlimactic. She did not take the discovery of one of his secrets well. Even though he is devastated by her rejection from learning of this secret, his overriding need to keep her safe is still forefront in his plans. The tension and questions rack up with the package and the cryptic note with it. Cursing is just so uncouth and apparently beneath him. Yet stalking, killing, breaking a guy's thumb for touching her hair, tattooing her without permission, bc tampering.... all those things are okay though lol. Hayden does say some great lines that show how deeply he is obsessed with and cares for her. “I wanted you more than I’d ever wanted a woman in my life. I broke into your apartment and took your necklace to stop myself from taking your body. So yes, I wanted to keep you safe from the world, but also from myself and what I would do to you.” “And now that you’ve fucked me? Is your obsession gone?” He releases a sardonic laugh that has my skin prickling. “Gone? Oh no, my sweet little bird, my obsession with you has only gotten worse.” “I will lie, cheat, steal, and kill if that’s what it takes to keep you. You’re all that matters to me.” “It’s good to hear you accept the inevitable,” he says, “because now you’re mine.” “How often does a man find a woman he’d destroy the world for?” Does Calista know that she could ask for anything and I wouldn’t have the strength to deny her if meant she’d come back to me? I grit my teeth. Regardless of our disagreement, she belongs to me. I won’t entertain the thought of anything else. It’s simply not acceptable. Being without her isn’t an option for me. Or for her. “I won’t let you leave,” I whisper against her skin. “I warned you that I wanted to own you, and I do. Every single piece of you belongs to me now.” “Don’t you get it? If I lose you, Callie, I won’t fucking survive it.” “How many times do I have to tell you? Everything about you matters to me.” “I’m not leaving you. Not now, not ever. When I told you that you’re mine, I meant it. You’re mine to protect, to care for, and to avenge. I won’t ask for your permission, but things would be easier if you’d stop fighting me.” This woman doesn’t understand the hold she has on me. One glance, one touch, and I’d be on my knees for her. The realization is disturbing. “Love doesn’t make you weak. It gives you the strength to fight for something worth having. Love should bring joy and fulfillment, not sadness and emptiness.” My lips twist with disbelief. “It might be the most painful emotion in existence.” “Only if you’re not with the person you love.” “I don’t want to love you.” But I do. “Rejection only makes me want you more,” he says. “Keep fighting me, and I’ll be fucking you on the dining table.” But if you were to admit your feelings for me, I would cherish and protect them until I die.” I’ll do whatever it takes to keep you safe, even if you fucking hate me for it.” “All I see is you. All I want is you. When I’m not with you, I can’t think. You’ve fucking wrecked me, but I don’t care. Not if it means I get to have you.” “I’ll always take care of what’s important to you, down to memorizing inconsequential details.” “You mean everything to me,” I say. “No matter how much we argue, that’ll never change.” “If you felt about me the way I feel about you, this wouldn’t even be a discussion.” He rests his forearms against the table, his brows lowered. “You belong to me now. Your needs and wants? I take them seriously. When I deny you, it pains me. Don’t you get that? Seeing you upset is the last thing I want.” “I didn’t want to love you, Callie, but fuck me, I do. Possessively. Irrevocably. Completely.” “Fuck that guy. No one touches you and lives.” “I’m not. Because you’re mine. You’re always going to be mine. I will always chase you and bring you back to me.” My throat aches, and the tears in my eyes make my vision blurry. “You’re willing to chase me forever?” “Yes. I’m willing to fight for you. Because you’re worth it.” “I love you.” It’s all I can manage, but it’s everything I have.
