Young Tristran Thorn will do anything to win the cold heart of beautiful Victoria—even fetch her the star they watch fall from the night sky. Beyond that old stone wall, Tristran learns, lies Faerie—where nothing not even a fallen star, is what he imagined.
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author Neil Gaiman comes a remarkable quest into the dark and miraculous—in pursuit of love and the utterly impossible.

To preface this, I absolutely LOVED the movie adaptation of this book when I was young, and reading Stardust has rekindled my love for it! The storylines are similar, but different enough that the book feels more whimsical adventure where the movie was more action-packed, I greatly enjoy both versions of this story. I went into this expecting a kids book, was pleasantly surprised that the story was a bit more mature, however I was not expecting the partial spicy scene (I say partial because certain explicit words were used, but it wasn’t graphic or fade to black so I’m unsure how to describe it). The edition I read also contained the prologue to “Wall”, a sequel? (Prequel?) which Gaiman never published, I’m not including the contents of that in my rating but I will say that the excerpt I read, without any further context, was rather unusual and I wasn’t a fan.
