3.75⭐ This was a cute romance with a good mystery aspect written in. I really liked Mateo, he was sweet, caring, considerate & thoughtful. And Alpha was such a great juxtaposition as his wolf; he had me laughing at his outrageous commentary. Mateo has been cursed by being rendered unable to change into his wolf form and sought help from Evie, a witch and one of the best hex breakers. One problem, though, her and her sisters have a policy not to work with werewolves. Evie is also a total introverted nerd who doesn't like being around people. Finally, Mateo convinces them to help him, but the curse is far more complex than any of them imagined and will take time to figure out how to reverse. Till it is reversed, being around Evie calms his wolf, so he makes a deal to spend time with her. The side characters were enjoyable, and I am looking forward to reading their books. Mateo is an artist (sculptor) and encourages Evie to pursue her art career. The MCs could have used a bit more depth, however.
