This was such a cute little book! I honestly don’t know why people give it so much hate, what do you expect from 70 pages?

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Favorite line: He mulls it over. Nods. Then says, all business, “You’re right. Let’s move to Tabitha’s room.” “Oh. Um . . . I’m not sure that . . .” “You’re right, that’s crazy. My parents’ bed is larger.” 📖My Thoughts What a cute, short read by one of my favs! It's definitely not her best work but it's a novella, what do you expect? I always love the quirkiness of her characters and Ali's comedy is always chef's kiss. I will say this involved a bit of miscommunication or unnecessary harshness from one of the characters, but it was short enough that it didn't last very long. ⚠️Trigger Warnings Graphic: Sexual content, Abandonment, Alcohol Moderate: Panic attacks/disorders, Bullying, Cursing Minor: Child death, Mental illness, Drug use 🌶️Spice I'd say there was more tension than spice in this one. The spice happens right at the end and didn't last as long as I would have liked.

I think this is my least favorite AH novel… But it has nothing to do with the author, and more to do with the childhood trauma she has made me relive with some of the content in this novel haha I’m not going to hold that against her though, I’ve had therapy and can look past some of this IM AN ADULT! haha Ok this was a cute little read and great semi-kick off to my winter reads. 🌶️ 2/5 Butt paper and Marcus were made for each other, this push and pull over the course of years was a fun concept and there were some laughable moments, along with a good bit of tension to wrap it up.

I feel like a lot of the negative reviews for this are people expecting the depth of a full-length novel. for a sixty-or-so-page novella, this was great! lots of pining, a good second-chance romance, and a bunch of feels somehow crammed in. it had me giggling and kicking my feet. it was a good time.

When Jamie is sent to borrow a roasting pan from her best friend's home, she finds Marc, her best friend's brother and the one who got away. She ends up getting stuck there due to a bad snowstorm. Jamie and Marc end up hashing out some details about the past and realize some mistakes that were made. This was a cute holiday novella. I really enjoyed it!

Cruel Winter with You is a delightful, quick read that packs an emotional punch. From the start, it pulls you into Jamie and Marc's story, making you wonder what went wrong between these former childhood friends. Ali Hazelwood’s talent for writing compelling friends-to-lovers shines through, delivering all the angst, warmth, and charm you’d expect. The cozy Christmas vibes were a perfect touch, and it paired wonderfully with my December playlist—ideal for curling up on a snowy day. Despite being short, the story didn’t skimp on feelings or depth. Highly recommend for anyone craving a festive and heartfelt romance!
